Thanks for sharing this list. I am on the hunt for Christmas gifts for my kids and I like to mix in books with toys. The main goal this Christmas is to find books that are enjoyable but teach an important lesson too. 2020 has been difficult to say the least and I think teaching children about kindness, friendship and problem solving is a must. Our favorite book so far this year has been "Mia and Nattie One Great Team" by Marlene Bell (https://www.marlenembell.com). It's a great picture book based on a real experience the author had with a little lamb she nursed back to health (she is a sheep breeder). Once the lamb, Nattie, is ready to join the other animals Mia can see that the little lamb has shorter legs than the other lambs and a horn that sticks out straight (almost like a unicorn!). Mia really relates to the lamb because she has a hard time fitting in with kids her age. Together they learn teamwork, compassion and self worth. I have been telling all my friends about it. Thank you again and Happy Holidays!Deborah Starlinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01782816162386280262noreply@blogger.com
