I'm so excited to present my interview with Sam Winston here today! Sam's work lives at the intersection of two heavily-connected worlds, fine art and language, and he expertly combines his two passions in his author-illustrator debut One & Everything. I'll let the art and language expert do the show-and-telling from here!

Let's Talk Illustrators #231: Cat Min

Let's Talk Illustrators #230: Jed Alexander
Jed Alexander's wordless book Red has been on my list of favorite Red Riding Hood books since it published, so when I heard that he was publishing a companion book, Gold, I was very keen to talk to him and learn more about his process. I hope you enjoy learning about these wordless books (and what Jed has in store for us next!).

Let's Talk Illustrators #229: Kailin Duan
I am hugely grateful that I had a chance to chat with Kailin Duan about her picture book Nine Color Deer, translated by Jeremy Tiang. The story in Nine Color Deer was adapted from a thousands-year-old Buddhist tale found on the walls of the Mogao caves in China. Kailin's narrative stays true to these paintings, highlighting the importance of being kind and gracious and even going so far as to having artwork that evokes the same style as the original cave images. Come check out Kailin's process for interpreting this old with a modern look!
